Hi Ethan and Richard,

I am a Whonix (anonymity OS) dev. Seeing your excellent efforts in
uplifting privacy and security enhancements from TBB to upstream I
wanted to discuss an idea with you.

Lavabit [1] the service that shutdown to protect its users from the
government is relaunching their service with a redesigned private email
protocol called DIME that protects metadata. The DIME spec [2] was
written by Lavabit's Ladar Levison and Phil Zimmerman of PGP fame.

I propose that client side DIME support be implemented in the browser to
enable widespread adoption of this enhanced protocol. This will do more
to spread this than a standalone client ever would. Please share your
thoughts on this.

cc'ing our developer list for future reference.
