Build Documentation Build Verification

OPTIONAL!

Since Whonix 7.5.2, advanced users have had the option to build Whonix from source code. This increases the likelihood that images are free from (potential) critical bugs affecting anonymity, since the similarity with redistributed Whonix .ova files can be verified. This is optional step, but it can improve security.

If you are interested, click on Expand on the right.

Congratulations, you already created your own build of Whonix! For additional security, the self-made build can also be compared with official builds, see: Verifiable Builds.
